YouTube Quick Hits [Pt2]

If you need a quick distraction or 6 from this ~month’s events, check out the short clips below: water balloon launching, time lapse, stop motion, a hot dog and more!

Years ago I lived near Lake Keowee in Seneca, SC. After getting a GoPro camera, for whatever reason I was inspired to fling it out of a slingshot into the water. I love how this video turned out, and it features Jackson, Molly, and Evie the dog, two of whom you might notice in some of my other clips.

Droids, hot dogs, and stop-motion animation. What more could you want (besides better photos)? I think I took these shots on my Env2 smartphone.

More stop motion, this time with PVC and EL lighting. Thanks to Jason for help on this one, and on the previous droid hot dog video.

Experiments with Python and a board called the PyMCU. Note that the robot “head” is actually the remains of an RC helicopter!

Even more! stop-motion animation, this time with live-edge wooden mushrooms that I turned on a lathe. Visuals turned out nice I think, and the music (for what it is) was made by me on an iPad app.

Back when I commuted to work, this was my morning drive, photographed with a GoPro. It looks way more exciting than it was, though as far as commutes go I couldn’t really complain!

More Words:

These days, I’m very glad I work at home. Hope all of you are able to stay safe and healthy.

Thanks for checking things out, and If you want to see more, here’s the Quick Hits part 1 post. You can also see MUCH more on my YouTube channel—mostly longer videos these days. So if you have some time on your hands, perhaps it’s worth a binge watch?
