After trying (eventually successfully) to get my bike pedals off of a crank, I decided it was time to upgrade my existing ~$25 vise. I chose the Wilton 2100 744 benchtop vise [Amazon] with 4″ jaws and a 4 1/2″ opening. While these two specs were roughly the same as the one I had before, the new vise is comparatively massive.
