Edit 4/3/2020: Congratulations to Matthew Lawson for winning the NCS2. Hope you make something awesome with it!
If you’d like a bit of new machine learning hardware to play with during this lockdown period, why not enter the Intel Neural Compute Stick 2 giveaway? All you have to do is retweet this Twitter post and follow me there to be entered. I’ll select a winner somewhere around April 3rd.*
The device was leftover from this and at least one other article on Arrow.com, and the contest is for the device itself without cables/box/documentation/etc. Check the articles out if you’d like to compare it to the Google Coral USB accelerator, but this contest wasn’t officially sponsored by Arrow. I’ll select the winner by some method of my choosing, possibly involving pointing at the screen and/or tabbing through names.
Winners can be from (mostly) wherever, but if you don’t have a US address, I may ask you to pitch in on shipping. Also, you’d be responsible for any import duties, and if there’s some sort of trade/shipping restriction where you live on this kind of hardware, then I’ll select someone else.
Good Luck & Email Updates?
Otherwise, good luck! Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the quarantine situation is over quickly, and you have to use it in normal times.
Besides Twitter, if you want to know what I’m up to, I’d invite you to sign up for email updates on this site, waaayy down at the bottom of the page. Not to over-promise, but it’ll be awesome:
*A previous iteration of this post said March 3rd, which would be in the past!
